We met in MIDDLE SCHOOL at a seventh grade birthday party, but it wasn’t until freshman year of high school that we became close friends.  In sophomore year, Eric asked Helene to Winter Ball… then Helene asked Eric to the Sadie Hawkins Dance.  And the rest is history!  We beat the odds, spending four years dating long-distance during college between San Antonio, Texas and Santa Cruz, California.  We both moved to Orange County when Helene started medical school, and there we added Ginny, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, to our family.  Ginny hates the ocean, but loves the beach, and the Pacific Coast has a special place in all of our hearts.  We are excited to show you what we love most about Orange County.

For our tenth anniversary in 2018, we had planned to be in Washington, D.C. for Helene’s back to back medical conferences.  Between the two weekends, Eric designed a romantic trip to New York City inspired by one of Helene's favorite shows, Gossip Girl.  On an early frigid March morning, Eric proposed to Helene at Bethesda Terrace, at the end of a path strewn with rose petals.  Completely unplanned, we were serenaded by a guitarist playing "Moon River."  It was a perfect, private, long-awaited moment ten years in the making.  Fun fact: Eric was physically sick that morning and was vomiting (illness or nerves?!).

How he asked
VEGAS, BABY

Lucky in love! We never would have imagined planning a quick Las Vegas wedding. Then 2020 happened, and the whole world changed. In the midst of so much uncertainty during what was a turbulent and challenging year, we decided we didn't want to wait.  On our original wedding date September 12, 2020, we exchanged our vows as the sun set across Red Rock Canyon. For the past year we've been looking forward with excitement and anticipation to celebrating with everyone as husband and wife.
